Jill Johnson: The Dutch quilter
Since I was young, I have always loved to sew. From pillowcases to dresses and skirts, sewing was something that I loved and knew I was good at. A few years ago, a friend talked me into buying a quilt kit. The idea was to work on the project together just for fun. Little did I know that this “project” would become almost like a lifestyle. Soon enough, I found myself making quilts for everyone I knew.
The thought of singling my talent to quilts didn’t seem right. Why not help others create beautiful sewing projects, too? While making yet another quilt for my home, I had an epiphany, that I could put together beautiful fabrics and bundles and share them through a shop. The Dutch Girl Fabrics and Quilt shop is the way to share the things I love with others.
